Mermay day 16 - Honored

Samantha Sceptre is an original character of mine I created over 10 years ago when I was starting to write my novel.
She's one of the best friends of the main character who, unfortunately, dies during the most important war in the story. She's a transforming mermaid /opposed to the born-mermaid kind/; is of a noble descend, although not royalty; and is the fashionista/lovely/bubbly one, who the main character's brother falls in love with.

I wanted to design a monument/sculpture of stone or marble that's in the shape of a blooming flower with a pedestal in its centre and a figure that looks almost perfectly like her. As she had blue eyes - "the bluest blue of the oceans" as the brother would say - her eyes are sapphires. She's reaching forward as a symbol of her friendliness & being always ready to help others. The lettering is carved in the stone leafs & glows at night.
